So i dunno about you but i like to keep fubar seperate from my facebook.
you dont have a facebook so you dont think this pertains to you. You're wrong! That blue little "like" button you see under peoples defaults and in their pictures... if youve got one attached to your fubar profile, you are in this too.
Just because you do not have a facebook, or didnt link your facebook account to your fubar DOESNT mean your fubar profile isnt being broadcasted on facebook. It just means that YOU do not broadcast your OWN fubar profile on facebook.
I have a facebook. I can go to anyone of your profiles or pictures and hit that blue facebook "like" button and it will show in my facebook feed to ALL my facebook friends that I "liked misfit on fubar" and will supply a link to hers (or yours) profile. From there MY facebook friends can click on said link and get to your fubar pictures.
From what I understand is, that if we set our profiles to be "viewable by fubar members only" that people on facebook can still see that I liked you, but couldnt get to your profile unless they signed up. Even so, i still thought this was bullshit that we couldnt opt out of being "liked" on facebook.
however its much worse now. because they seem to have made it to where you can now click on a link and view out tooltips..(huge) tooltips and as everyone knows, all you have to do is click on the number of pics under the default, and you are in.
try it.... log out. My profile is set to "fubar members only" and come to my page, youll see my tooltip and be able to get into my pics without even being a fubar member!
this also affects the blocking of people we do not want to see us. They too can now log out and get into our pics.
sure..we can close up shop and go to friends only in profiles and pics...that will help. but why should we have to?

this is what it looks like when someone on facebook likes someones fubar profile or picture albums. I blocked out the names to protect friends privacies. MIND YOU, this is a facebook friend of mine, liking another fubar member I do not know. But I can click on those links and get that persons tooltip, even if i wasnt a fubar member.

there is now an option to opt out of the facebook like button. In ur privacy settings on the bottom left hand side.
