So I recently started a new job, but only took a leave from my old job so that I would still have my insurance. I’ve been with the new job for a little more than 3 weeks, and I like the job. But there isn’t a lot of room for advancement. It’s also an almost $2/hour pay cut with no set schedule for raises. Most of the people seem pretty cool, except one rude person. Pay is weekly.
My old job, I’ve been with almost 8 years, and I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. I’m already established, with insurance, 401k and stock options and annual raises. There are advancement opportunities. I get along with just about everyone there too. Pay is biweekly.
The schedule at both is Monday thru Friday. One is a typical workday schedule, the other is stupid early in the morning til early afternoon.
I know in the end I’ll have to decide for myself what I want, but for now I’d just like others opinions.
