Though no explanation is needed as to why we are commemorating September 11, we hope more importantly to pay respect to the victims of that day, show our nation's solidarity and show support for our men and women of the Armed Forces. Angels protect us as we sleep. Angels protect us as we travel from A to B. Angels find us when we feel alone. Angels are her when we are scared. Angels comfort Our souls, when we hurt from our losses. Angels were with me, when my nana went away. The Angels the came and took took her by the hand. They said, Bernese it is time to come home. We will stay with your children and grandchildren until they join you with him. I imagine my Nana she gladly said, ok. And away to heaven she went on that Cold January day. I remember the call I remember it well. My mother she called and I could tell, That my Nana was gone but not far away. Heaven seems far when your grieving inside, but really it's not all that far from your mind. I know that one day I will see her again. In the place where she waits for us to be with her again. She left us here to carry on, but there are days when I feel I will never make it here. I miss her so much as I watch my Daughters grow. There are days when I sit down and cry lots of tears. The tears are not sad ones Cause I know she is better off but they are tears of frustration at my great loss. I wish She was here for my daughters to know. She was a great woman for anyone to know. So when you are feeling low look to the sky and you never know Nana's angel maybe smiling below. She watches us even though she is gone..... I love my Nana more then you will ever know you were my Best Friend!!!....Your loving granddaughter! Geannie
