How am I supposed to get over this
when everytime I close my eyes
I can still see you smiling at me
trying to hide your lies
Was it all just a game
was any of it real to you
how could you be so cruel to me
you're heartless, foolish, and ice cold too
The pain I feel will remain forever
these scars you placed on me will never heal
I gave you no reason to do this
but you took advantage of how I feel
You caused so much hurt to me
like something I've never felt before
you opened a wound to rub salt in
you've caused my heart and mind to go to war
It will get easier in time to deal with this
but after the first time you should have let me be
but you came back and hurt me and my child again
but one day you will think back about what you did to me
I will be the one that burns in your soul
you won't forget the pain you caused
I will not allow you to go on so easily
all because you caused my life to be placed on pause
