I've been in quite a philosphical mood today... I was thinking, what are the chances of anything happening? What I mean is, if you take any given event in your life there are probably hundreds of tiny little events that have to take place in order to make that happen. No doubt a lot of these events you will have only had a tiny window in which to progress towards the result that you did progress towards.
So anything that's happened to me I just think... that was just so unlikely!
Like meeting people for instance. You meet a lot of people by chance and all these events have to take place and to work out right to lead to the meeting.... and then there's the people you meet because of the fact that you met that first person... the improbability has to kick in again each time too.
Then I think about the whole 'six degress of separation' theory. Supposedly you are only six steps away from any other person in the world in terms of you know someone who knows someone who knows someone, etc. So I start thinking that maybe it's inevitable that you just meet everyone on the world.
So I've just contradicted my whole first point.
I think I'll stop there before I just confuse the hell out of myself... I'm not making any sense anyway. It all sounded good in my head before I started typing though.
