My day started off with a great interview and ended with me not getting home until 950pm
I left at 530am :(
Today was not only physically, but mentally exhausting.
Do you know how hard it is to try to show empathy to those who see no wrong in their actions and continously try to manipulate the system.
I know there are legit patients in corrections and that is why I will never play police and continue to be the best nurse I can be.
I just wish some days were a little more simple

Remember when I stopped working in the ER after my back injury due to "safety "?
Sitting here at the county jail wondering how I thought working here was any better.
I have officers with me at all times with inmates, but anything and everything can happen.
Guess I think I can save the world. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to be saved.
