I haven't hung out in Dominican places in forever and now I'm wondering what the hell is wrong with me! lol Damn, was tonight fun! From the food to the music to the dancing and the guys! lol Now I can't wait to get down to the DR, and I even convinced my friend to join me in bellydancing! :)

Talk about a kickass day! If there's something I didn't do, it's because it doesn't exist. haha Okay, seriously:
*Met my friend Joe to work on our theses together (and actually made major progress! lol)
*Had a meeting with my advisor and somehow managed to keep him happy
*Went out for way too many drinks with a bunch of friends to celebrate
*Got elected to the Board of Directors of an art gallery
*Attended the first board meeting and actually had something important to say lol
*And STILL managed to squeeze in my bellydance practice before I headed home!
I haven't been this productive since God knows when! Bring it on! hahaha

A girl can't be all work and no play, now! ;) (And I sooooo need that outfit! haha)

Also the name of a great book by Pete Hamill. Oh, wait. That’s “Snow in August.” Never mind, my brain is fried. haha (Still a great book, though.) I was talking about what’s outside my window, anyway. Not that I’m surprised. We’ve had April snow before. One year, we had 2 feet of snow on April 1st. But still... Ordinarily weather like this would practically be a mandate for me to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea (after going outside to take some pics, of course), but I have a massage appointment in a little while and that’s practically a required religious sacrament in itself, so out I go! :) Shouldn’t be too bad; the forecasters said it won’t stick, no matter how bad it looks... Ah, hell. I take that back. I just looked out the window. It is TOO sticking, dammit! I don’t know why I’m surprised. They also SWORE that this wouldn’t start until 10 o’clock tonight. So they’re on a roll... It is pretty, though... Addendum: Yeah, it only looked pretty from inside! haha That stuff is ice! But for some strange reason, the crappy weather made me happy. Go figure. lol I spent 20 minutes cleaning off my car because every time I finished one side, the other side was covered again. That’s how fast it's coming down. But it was fun and I was completely soaked from head to toe. But it was fun. I even remembered to get some shots in, but I was in a rush, so they aren’t the greatest...

Okay so, I’m swamped beyond belief, I’m completely ignoring all my friends and family, and I’m STILL not any closer to finishing all my work! So what am I thinking about? Going on for my doctorate, of course. What the hell is wrong with me??? lol I'm almost finished with my masters program (well, except for that damn thesis) and here I am planning to prolong the agony! I can’t really remember how I felt mentally when I finished law school, but I definitely feel like my brain is a bit fried right now. For some reason I just don’t remember feeling like this back then. Maybe I was just seeing all the dollar signs, who knows? hahaha I postponed the deadline for my thesis from this month to the end of summer just so I could cope with all my work, and it almost doesn’t make a bit of difference! WTF? :P I’m THIS close to a perfect 4.0 and I can’t sacrifice my grades at the last minute just because I’m tired. Now I’ll be writing my thesis all this summer and trying to research PhD programs and professors who are doing work I’m interested in... But I’m about 95% sure that I’m going to do this. Somebody slap me, please... Well, a massage would be MUCH better, actually... ;)
