Around the end of March my best friend (of 15 years) and her husband moved in with my family. It was agreed that they would help out with bills and with work around the house while he looked for a job. For about the first month they did try to live up to the agreement, but by month 3 my husband and I were starting to get irritated with the fact that he had stopped looking for work, they hadn't helped with a single bill, and she started to stay up all night and sleep all day, thus not helping with housework.
Then last week I asked her to help with the water bill. I asked for $20 and was told that they couldn't afford it. I asked them at that point to start looking for a place to live. I told them that if after 4 months they couldn't pay $20 on the water bill then I could no longer afford to have them living there. As you can imagine, a civil war irrupted in my house and over the next two days they moved out.
When I went into their room to clean it I found that the drywall was full of nail holes, the carpet was ruined from their dog digging in it, and my couch was totally ruined. Now she wants to say that I'm not a real friend. My question here is do you think
A: she has all rights to be pissed off about being kicked out or
B: she should be feel like scum for trashing my house and and mooching for 4 months?
