I am not sure if anyone else has ever seriously looked into their vows when they got married. I know before I got married I thought about those vows very long and very hard. And the day I stood before my husband to be, and said them, I felt every one of those words and took them to heart.
Will you have this woman/man as your lawful wedded partner,to live together in the estate of matrimony?
Will you love him/her, honor him/her, comfort him/her, and keep him/her in sickness and in health;
forsaking all others, be true to him/her as long as you both shall live?
Lets break that down......
Will you have this woman/man as your lawful wedded partner,to live together in the estate of matrimony? Meaning that you live as one...2 homes becoming one. All of your issues and their issues are now YALLS issues. You both live as one.
Will you love him/her,--marriage is not to be enter into if you do not love each other. Marriage is a scared thing that you both agree to love each other for the rest of your lives.
honor him/her,-have respect for their feelings and options. Even if you dont agree with them, they are valued options and feelings. and they have been expressed in a way that should be honored.
comfort him/her,-no matter what happens in life be there for one another.
and keep him/her in sickness and in health;- this means that no matter what, you will be there for them and comfort them whether they are healthy or sick.
forsaking all others,- meaning that you will not take another person into your heart and bed. meaning that your spouse is the only one who you will have those feelings for. No phone sex, NSFW pic exchange, no internet sex and no physical sexual contact with any other person that is not your spouse.
be true to him/her as long as you both shall live? No matter what life throws at you.....You stick by each other.. as the saying goes...What doesnt kill you will only make you stronger...
I know that this is fu and that its a game to most but there are those out there that they dont care if its a game. There are those out there that dont care if they are married. There are the single ones out there that dont care if a person is married. But when the spouse of one tells you to leave them alone and to back off, then they need to be respected as such. I know my husband and I fight. and most of the time its due to this place. But I guess i am old fashion but I took my vows seriously and everything. I dont flirt. If a guy hits on me, either 1) i handle it if its in my sb. I remind them to read my profile or 2) if it happens in a lounge....I have a great family that watches my back. To all those who would rather cheat on their spouse on here and dont consider it cheating........YALL ARE IN DENIAL!!!! Work things out with your spouse...if you are fighting, take a walk. cool off. come back and talk. if you can not talk about it....go to someone who can help....a family member, a friend, church official or when professional cousneling. Divorce has become to easy of an answer for everyone now days. Its time to go back to classics....DIVORCE SHOULD BE THE VERY LAST RESORT FOLKS!!!!!
If you are reading this and think that i am being a bitch then you are right. You put yourself in my shoes and walk a mile or so. Then you will understand i will fight for what is mine and i will do my damnest to keep it. I love my husband and nothing he does will change that. We may fight but its because I love him enough to voice my feelings and opinons. I will not someone come between us.
