sorry shaun but dont take this the rong way

sorry had to edit

Your post is a bit rambling, lacking in continuity and shows that you may have sleept through the critical thinking class at whatever junior college you failed to graduate from. If I have deciphered your intent, you are trying to argue that agnosticism is a more rational position than atheism. On the following pages you attempt repeatedlyto make points in your arguments by quoting scripture. This leads me to believe that you are not trying to endorse a side in the atheist/agnostic debate since neitherof those philosophies consider scriptures to be of divine origin and as such will hold no weight in that discussion. What you are doing here is giving yourself an excuse to preach Christianity.  Fine, if that is your goal have the integrity to be up front about what you are doing . Pretending that you are interested in philosophical debate so that you can lure people into a sermon is dishonest.

As philosophers go, Bertrand Russell is well known to us.  He was one of the most notable and outspoken atheists of the 20th century.  If you have not had the chance to read his essay "Why I am not a Christian" then I recommend that you take the time to read it soon.  In some ways it feels like a condensed version of 'The God Delusion'.

One of the interesting concepts that Russell brought to the attention of the public was the idea of a supernatural teapot.

Many orthodox people speak as though it were the business of sceptics to disprove received dogmas rather than of dogmatists to prove them. This is, of course, a mistake. If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time.

Sorry Jack but if you truly believe that you need to be baptized to save your soul from a curse put on it by a vindictive shit of a God because a woman who never existed ate the fruit of a tree that she had been seduced into eating by a talking snake, and you then go into heavy seas to help someone else perform the same nonsensical ritual, expect to get laughed at when it appears that the God you were trying to praise drowned your ass.
