For Darrell

People we have known

together in our past

Stop me and ask "How is he?"

I must look away and answer

"He has passed."

"0h, so sorry" they say

And once again

I must look away.

How can they know

that the mention of your name

Brings up so much grief,

 sorrow.... so much pain.

You were so much more

than just a friend.

We promised we would be together

till the very end.

I missed you every day

those years we were apart.

But you were always living

deep in my heart.

The fun we had together,

the adventures that we shared!

Nothing was off limits

No one was spared!

I long for those days

So wild and carefree

But YOU are not here

no us... only me.

The memories remain

I think of you everyday.

I know you can hear me

And I just want to say....

I MISS YOU

I LOVE YOU

YOU WILL ALWAYS STAY

IN MY MIND, MY HEART

YOU WILL NEVER GO AWAY.

Wisdom

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.

Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours.

Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.

Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.

Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place.

Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.

Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.

Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Random Thoughts

Random Thoughts for the Day:

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet??

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this -- ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. How do workers in the bubble wrap factory NOT pop the bubble wrap?

19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well..

20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Bourban or Wine than Kay.

A-Ha

I have often heard of people having those "A-Ha" moments and thought to myself, "What a bunch of crap!" But as I was driving that long commute to work early this morning, I actually had one.

Six days a weeks I drive 35 miles on I-75 to a small town where I work.  At 5:30 in the morning, there isn't much traffic... usually just me and the truckers.  Often my mind wanders as I listen to the radio or some CD.  On this morning, I was thinking on how much I would like something... some material object that is out of my financial reach.  When all of a sudden it hit me.  I HAVE A GOOD LIFE!

That made me stop my wandering mind and actually focus on what I HAVE.  I may not own my own home, but the apartment where I have lived for the past 10 years is nice.  Small, yes, but just enough for me.  The furnishings are quite lovely, and I am comfortable there.  I keep it up (OCD won't let me do otherwise) and have had many compliments on it.  I may not drive an expensive luxury car, but drive a newer Nissan that I really like.  My job may not be in the field I choose, but it IS a job, and I have met some interesting people there.  It pays well, and at times I actually enjoy being at work.  I don't go hungry, all the bills are paid on time, I'm not in debt of any kind, and if there is something I want, I can usually obtain it.  I may not be as thin or as in shape as I once was.... but for a woman pushing 45 I look damn good!  My close friends are few, but they love me unconditionally and are always there for me.

Then I thought about those that have very little.  How many of them could only wish to trade lives with me?

So now, when I'm a bit depressed for whatever reason, I will think about this.  So what if I have gained a few pounds.  So what if I can't afford to take that vacation to Italy.  So what if I have to work two weeks straight without a day off.  SO WHAT!!  I HAVE!!

Now when I have to wake up at 3:30am to prepare for work, I will count my many blessings.  And only hope that YOU will, too.  Before you start to whine and cry over what you don't have, take a moment and reflect on what you DO have.  There are many who could only wish to have it so good!

Many Blessings ♥☽O☾♥

For Sale

"Pimpout for sale..."

"Shitface for sale..."

"Family add for sale..."

Is this what this site has come to?  Whatever happened to having these abilities to help your friends?  For free?  And family?  Excuse me, but I thought family was the people on here who are good friends... like 'family'.  THIS is why I am not on this site much anymore.  If I pimp you out, it's because I want to... if you are in my family, it's because you are a good friend.  None of this 'for sale' stuff.  That's just tacky!!

Okay, I'm done now.

New Year

So many things we have learned this year. So much had happened too. For one this year I learned that when you become dependent on someone else, you stop being yourself, and you fall behind. I also learned that I'm stronger than I thought. This year some of us have suffered and lost someone we loved, others have hit bottom at the point of thinking "I just can take it anymore". YOU are ALIVE !!!

Many things, too many for some of us, and although it seems like the wounds are to big or to many to heal today, they will be scars some day. Those scars will make you stronger, and smarter. So CELEBRATE !!! Do not see this coming year as another day... Celebrate, and welcome the next year as once again having an opportunity to start over, Celebrate that you have your family and loved ones with you, Celebrate because, although it was tough this past year, after the storm the sun rises once again. But only you can make this happen, only you have that magick.

May the next year be full of Happiness,
May it be full of Joy,
May it be full of Love,
May you have all the Blessings you deserve.
Many, many Blessings of Love and Light to you all my beautiful friends ♥☽O☾♥

Questions

I have some questions that I am curious to find many answers to: If one has a job doing something that they or society, as a whole, views as wrong, is it ok to hide behind the old addage: "I am just doing my job."? The examples of professions that I will offer are purely for the purpose of demonstrating my confliction: Employee of the Internal Revenue Service, Abortion Clinic Personel, and Bill Collectors, etc. There is a purpose for using such obvious examples. On a seperate but similarly equal, un-clear note, is someone that does something wrong but that reaps no financial gain looked on as bad as someone that does something wrong for a financial reward? For example: Someone steals food because they are starving versus someone who steals material objects to support a drug habit?

HELL EXPLAINED BY CHEMISTRY STUDENT

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term. The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well:

Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.  One student, however, wrote the following:  First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.  As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.  Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.  Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.  With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.  Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:  1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.  2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.  So which is it?  If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.  The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...... leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting 'Oh my God.'

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+

Footnote... I don't believe in the existence of the man made idea of 'devil' so consequently I do not believe in hell - just saying... Cheryl (RaVen)

REal Beauty

What is Real Beauty, and why can't we see, that we live in a World full of Beauty????

These days we are so busy, that we can't really see it. There're so many beautiful things that have been given to us by our Goddess and God, from our Mother Earth and all its creatures. Sometimes it's not just that we can't see it, but that we have forgotten what Real Beauty is.  Sometimes it's staring us right in the face, but at times it is hidden and is not that easy to be seen. The matter of fact is that we all -and I'm including myself- have diferent points of view (which is good). As you can see beauty means something different to all of us.

Beauty is NOT just looks and believe it or not there are a lot of people that really think "Beauty is JUST looks".  More people than I will like to admit, and sadly enough there are beautiful girls and women dying because they believe the nonsense they see in magazines and TV, and dying without having known real beauty is sad. But real beauty is much more than that...  It is that inner self, is a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or even an idea. The emotion that beauty can make us feel is more than a deep experience of pleasure, meaning, satisfaction, balance and harmony. Because this is a subjective experience, it is often said that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Now maybe at some point in time it was like that, but now it is almost a joke. Beauty may cause a salient experience of positive reflection about the meaning of one's own existence.

And of course, the beauty subject has such a personal meaning. We may not like how much we weigh, or how we look, or how our hair looks, or how we look in front of the mirror ect.. We need to keep in mind that is how you reflect yourself to people and to yourself what you and others are going to see.  It's like walking with a huge sign or banner, that says Kick Me or Love Me... that's what people are going to see. You are as beautiful as your soul is. Then again this might be another topic ;) We always need to remember that BEAUTY is EVERYWHERE you just need to be open and ready for it.

Many Blessings to you all my beautiful friends ♥☽O☾♥
