Hey all, Just wanted to let you know that Randy (Big Rock) and I are in the process of moving into a 4 bedroom house. 2008 is already looking up! And yes, a possible house warming gathering! There may be e-mail address changes as well, but we will keep everybody updated! So if we become MIA for a while, please understand that we are BUSY! Best Wishes for a Happy New Year to all of you! The worry of getting a job after breaking my leg has come to an end....... Full time next month....Thanks to Connie, an old friend I used to work with, I will be working at her Day Spa/ Salon in Maumee. ....ADAGIO...The salon is beautiful and I am in the process of making a MYSpace Page for the salon, so keep an eye open for that ... come see me or call....and she is hiring experienced technicians,....if interested, give her a call. My Leg

Just wanted to give an update..... I went to the doctor today....I was released 3 weeks ago for therapy on my broken leg, today he told me to put on a normal shoe instead of my aircast and start walking on it, which i actually have been for the past few days...lol I am anxious to start walking again without a walker. So good news so far, but the healing is still going slowly, he's hoping that by putting my weight on it, that it will compress the bone together. I saw the X-ray, and to me it still seems like I have a long way to go. As far as the open wound on my shin area, its healing slowly as well, not as well as he would hsve liked to see. But none the less, i am healing and hopefully will be back on my feet fully soon! much love to all, Korissa

Update

I don't usually like to post my personal business on the internet, but thought I would give everyone an update since I havent been online or out much...... Sunday,September 9th, it will be the 2 months, since I broke my tib/fib bones in my left leg. Three hours into the first day of our vacation. My boyfriend, myself, and his three kids. While at the pool with the kids, I slipped and fell in a pool that was new to this campground this year. This was a serious injury, the doctor said that the only thing that could have made it worse, is if the bones had actually broke through my skin. Pics of my x-rays are available in my pics, if anyone would like to see what I am going through. I spared everyone the gross pics. I have a metal rod through my tib, a metal plate on my fib, numerous pins & screws, and a very large open wound that had to be graphed from my upper thigh. So I have quite a few lovely scars. And the tattoos on my ankle have been ruined. But thats the least of my worries. During all this, I lost my job, and can hardly get any help from the state. It boggles my mind that they won't help people that actually need it, when there are soo many that are taking advantage and working the system. I am healing slowly, I won't be able to actually walk until November(fingers crossed). I am walking with a walker, but not allowed to put any weight on my leg at all. So I am left with figuring out alternative ways of getting around and doing things. I have been staying with my mother that has been more than a blessing and extremely helpful through all of this. My niece as well has been a great help! I am hoping to be home full time after my next Docotor visit on October 3rd, hopefully I will be able to start therapy by then as well. I have made occasional trips home for a few days, to spend time with my cats and my boyfriend & his kids, and to give mom and my niece a break from me. My boyfriend and his oldest son have been a great help as well. Recently the two youngest kids mother had an unforseen health issue, and he has had them quite a bit while she was in the hospital and now healing, so with a broken leg, I have been helping him take care of the kids as well. Which I am gladly doing, its hard at times, but I manage. You do what you have to, no matter what, pain or not. This has given us both quality time with the kids. I can't thank everyone enough for all the help, support, and well wishes. I am very restless and impatient, and can't wait to get back to a normal life. I have had good and bad days, but dealing with it. I keep telling myself that "everything happens for a reason" and that there are others out there that have it alot worse than i do.This tragedy was an eye opener and a life changing experience. I am very independent, and having to depend on anyone or ask anyone for anything is tough for me. I don't like being at others mercy. But appreciate everything. Best Wishes To All........ Korissa
