What a day! took my chair out to go visit an old friend at another nursing home....it's just a mile or so farther then the mall (2.4 miles to mall) when i get there i realize I am almost out of juice! I'll never even get 1/2 way back! So, I call my place and ask if someone can bring me my charger...i charge for an hour and head out....30 minutes later (means probably 2-2.5 miles) i see my power guage is nearly empty! good thing i am now 1/2 way home..about another 25 minutes...and right in front of an emergency entrance. i go in, explain i need to plug in...they put me in a small room behind the desk, i plug in and nap for an hour....BTW, i had my charger with me this time....made it home safe...sunburned, tired, but safe and happy!

  Sorry for this long silence, I got ill and was in the hospital for the last month.  I am OK now, it was an infection requiring IV antibiotics, and I opted to hyave as much done in a specialty care unit rather then go home with it and try to deal with the antibiotic bags, flushes and all.

 

I hate to do things like this, but the Internet is my MAIN access to social and a 'life' at present. Please help me to maintain my sanity until I can get the goverment to continue to pay me my monthly income. Ulf

I am just going along when suddenly I read Horton hears a...WHOA!' Wait, back, up here, Horton...hears...a...who, First off, this is major here, folks! Let me start off with the first two words...Horton and Hears, I had NO idea Horton COULD hear, I know, look at those ears, but I really didn't have a clue he could hear. It's a good thing I don't have knees and that I was sittihng down at the time, because I would have had those knees knocked out from under me other wise. This is a revelation in and of itself, Horton heard something. And, then he heard a WHO of all things! I mean, of all things to hear, a Who? How could such a thing happen? And on top of that to Horton?! He could have heard a what, a why, even a where, but he was blessed and actually heard a WHO! Again,that knees thing here, folks. Now, after letting this all sink in, I then learn this is a movie made about tne incident, and rightly they should make a movie. This is an amazing thing people. And, are you sitting down? The movie is based on a BOOK! Oh, man! And you know what they say, the book has got to be better then the movie. I don't suggest you try this one on tape while driving, the reality of it would cause so many fatal accidents, I'm sure. Every 'page' a shock, every line a challange to your concepts of reality. And this is what woke me up this morning and gave me the desire to start my day, Horton Hears a Who.

As time goes on and I post here you will see I tend to ramble and babble. Sometimes it's interesting, sometimes it's thought provoking, but mainly it's just me ranting about life, it's ups and downs and how I feel about it.
