I've been tagged 9 times in the past three days, I think. lol Some said 15 facts, some said 10.... I'll go the 15, I guess.
Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird or random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose at least 5 people to be tagged, listing their names. 1. I dared someone to shave my head when my oldest child was born and told him he didn't have the balls to do it. Over two and a half feet of curly little spirals were flying in the wind. Although, I had a few choice words to say about it, I truly loved it... the wind tingled my head. :) I kept it that way for three or four years until someone asked me how long I'd had cancer. Then, I let it start growing back. I've been thinking of shaving it again, but I know I won't. lol
2. The first time I ever truly cut my hair was in tenth grade. I will never forget it cuz Hurricane Hugo blew through VA that night. My mom tried to say I caused it by cutting my hair. Cruel, eh?
3. I listen to all types of music except hard stuff that makes my head hurt and those to which I can't understand the words (heavy metal/hard rap). I still like the sappy love crap the best, although I still don't believe in love.
4. I heard a radio talk show host once say that single moms should never date cuz they are just looking for daddies for their babies.... the most prejudiced crap I've ever heard. But, yet, I always think of that when someone asks for anything of me.
5. I have never been Suzie Homemaker and will never live in a glass house. In other words, I'm a messy one. I don't live in filth, but I can't stand housekeeping either. I just like having a home that looks lived in.... besides, I have two young boys. What can one expect?
6. Snakes terrify me, yet I'm amazed by them and enjoy staring at and studying them.
7. I watched Fantastic Four... Silver Surfer last night, and decided that when I grow up, I want to be the Silver Surfer. :)
8. I've been on a plane once. In December 91, I flew from VA to Charlotte for a two hour layover and then flew on to Pensacola FL back to college. It was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had.
9. Since 9-11, I swore I'd never fly again.
10. I went to a Christian college in Pensacola FL for a year and a half. It was wonderful, but my lifestyle changed in every possible way when I left at 19 years of age. lol I guess I kinda went wild.
11. I've attempted college like 4 times and still haven't gotten a degree... trying again in the fall. 8-p I iz a quitter, for one reason or another. Things happen... like all classes being on the third floor and having a broken ankle and a heavy backpack and not enough time between classes to drop off books in the car.
12. I truly want to be a nurse... when (if) I grow up.
13. I recently found out that human blood doesn't bother me as bad as I once thought... it's when the blood comes from my blood (children) that it bothers me so much.
14. About 10 and a half years ago... three days before Thanksgiving, my left arm went through the glass in a screen door. I went into shock, I think, but didn't lose it. I was covered in blood, from head to toe. I still remember the sounds as the glass shards hit the porch, one piece at a time. It was as if the entire thing happened in slo-mo. I had a piece of glass that went through just below my elbow about 10 or 12 inches long and stayed. I remember pulling it out and not feeling the pain. I have a J shaped scar from it, about 14 stitches and I watched the doc at the ER cut out ummm muscly stuff and sew it up. I never felt any pain until the stitches went in.
15. I LOATHE motorcycles and all two wheelers except 10 speeds and scooters. :) In my late teens, I rode a dirt bike and the owner never told me how to stop it. I learned to ride bicycles on my bro's bike. It had no brakes. I put my bare feet on the ground to stop it. The owner of the dirt bike told me to stop it the same way you stop a bicycle. I put my feet on the ground... still have a scar on the back of my left knee about the size of a softball from the muffler. 8-p
16. Every time I've ever been on a dirt bike or motorcycle, there was an accident and/or injury involved, except the last time. The driver and owner of that motorcycle crashed it less than six months later in FL somewhere and is still in a coma. I'll never ride one of those again either... Besides, the drivers of them think they own the road. Their attitudes in the grand scheme of things is like comparing fleas to dogs... in size. Imagine a motorcycle against the truck driver.... if that makes sense. It does in my own head. lmaoooo
17. My body is full of scars. I'm proud of every one of them except the one I got when I was 19. The rest are just proof that life has been lived. The one I got when I was 19, is above my knuckle.... left index finger in the shape of a cross. It's very tiny and has faded a lot. But, my older sister told me once that it's my cross to bear. I never forgot that and never will. :(
