ok i was really bored and thought this might be fun for the 3 of you who can actually see this...so just read it and go ok he likes those movies in that order and forget it 3 mins later hahaha
so why 11? well why not?
no really there is a 12 movies out but at the current time of this writing i have yet to see the remake that premieres today across the big old world....so enjoy and if you like it cool
11 - Part 9 - Jason Goes to Hell - this movie sucks.
10- Part 10 Jason X - this one is ok...thats it very differnt, also the highest kill count in any of the movies.
9 - Freddy Vs Jason - this movie should have been alot better and much higher on my list...i was only waiting for it for a good 13 years....it wasnt terrible by anymeans...but the main female lead by the name of Laurie really bugged me...her lines were some of the poorest in modern cinema history...and since when did the big main even turn into a triple threat???
8 - Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. So this movie is actually pretty popular for Jason fans and i can understand why....this movie keeps the spirit of what the movies are all about and add's intentional humor to it as well...the begining credits even makes a play on the famous 007 intros...but for me it was just never one of my favorites..i dunno this movie always reminds me of school for some werid reason hahaha...anyways this was the movie the featured Jason as a Zombie slasher
7 - Friday The 13th part 8: Jason Takes Manhatten. Ok so by this time around 88 89 the slasher movies had really run there course and jason was no exception..but that didnt stop the slasher equivelent of Jaws from continuing his slashing...umm so they take this one out of the woods and deside to take it to NY NY...but they didnt really...about 75% of this movie was Jason Takes A Cruise Ship TO MANHATTEN!!! and then when he got there you could hardly tell where it was anyways....the only reconizeable NY location that made the final flim was a brief stroll through Time Square which i have to admit was pretty funny....but to be fair the director had alot of plans for this movie that never came to be because of a tight budget...they were going to have Jason go to Madison Square Garden and The Empire State Building....ah well.
6 - Friday The 13tth part 5: A New Begining. This movie is actually the least favorite along with Jason goes to hell for many Jason fans...why? well Jason isnt the killer the movie is a big tease with a copy cat killer...if you can get past that fact though and understand the movie is 24 years old now you'll find its actually a funny friday the 13th movie in its own right with some interesting Jason like kills...the story is about Ambullence driver who's estranged song that was kept secret was hacked to death at a mental half way house for troubled teenagers...over a cand bar!!! and guess who gets to clean up the mess...you guessed it..poor Roy the amublence driver...and yeah he goes over the edge and fucks these poor kids up...its an alright movie.
5 - Friday The 13th Part 7: This is the first Jason movie of four to feature the famous Kane Hodder to don the famous hockey mask as Jason...and he does a fine job i must say..this movie when i first saw it way back when..i didnt care for it...but in recent years i've grown to enjoy it..the plots kinda complex to explain its about a girl with telecentic powers and her doctor is with her basiclly trying to expose her and get rich writing a book or something...and she even meets a nice guy along the way too bad his other friends including a jealous mean girl want to make things hard for both of them...oh yeah Jason comes back and makes it hard for everyone hahaha...this movie was one of the most heavily edited of the series but most of the deleted scenes exist online or on the bonus disc in the friday box set.
4: Friday The 13th: This is the one that started them all...it's a bit differnt since Jason is not the killer at this point...it is his mother who is mudering all at camp ...the movie is probably the best in terms of a scary enviorment...its very dark and raining quite heavy throughout the night of friday the 13th 1980...and if you never seen this one i'd suggest watching it.
3: Friday The 13th Part 2: Jason makes his debut as a homicidal muderous mongaloid...this is the movie where he looks like a big hillbilly running around in overalls a flannel and a potato sack over his head...and his weapon of choice in this movie is the pitchfork...it's pretty good....this movie was also very badly edited by the ratings bored and from what i understand the orginal footage is forever lost
2: Friday The 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter. This was the one that was suppose to end all of the movies and be a fitting clouser to the first four movies....its easily one of my favoites...it's dark and has memorible scenes throughout along with some hilarius lines of dialog...be sure to check out Crispin Glovers Improv dance scene...what a crazy guy hahaha
1: Friday The 13th Part 3: this one is my favorite of the series...to some fans not so much...but its just my favorite...same style plot as the rest of the orginal 4 movies jason visits camp and destroys everyone even some bikers in this movie...it's also the first movie were Jason puts on the iconic hockey mask and would keep it for the rest of the series...this movie came out in theaters in the early 80's when they were trying to revise the classic 3D gimmicks from the 1950's and 60's and it didnt go over so well...but just recently they finally put the 3D version out on DVD and i found it to be alot of fun...it didnt look amazing or anything but i thought it worked ok besides some double vision at times.
so there you have it....my top friday the 13th movies....now the new movie is coming out and i already heard some bad reviews from test screenings...and i like to remind people that these movies are not meant to fix anything or be the greatest of all time....the new movie isnt...and the old ones never were...there just there for a good time to get together with friends on a weekend late at night and watch a thrilling yet fun movie and laugh and try and get spooked....if you can go into the movies with that mind set...you should enjoy them then.
