1 The Total Transference of Power of Self Will is a continuing process of giving and receiving. It is not a once only act but an ongoing process of submitting to the authority of the chosen Master. It is the right of the Submissive to offer the gift of her Submission. The Master does not have the right to demand or take that Self Will from the Submissive.
2 The greatest gift that a Submissive has to give is her Submission; therefore the Master must cherish the gift and the Submissive. He must prove himself honorable and worthy of the gift.
3 The Master must be in control himself first and foremost. Without an understanding of control of self, the Master will confuse bullying for dominance. To win The Submissive Partner’s mind, body, spirit, soul, and love, the Master knows he must first win her trust. The Master will show the Submissive Partner humor, kindness, and warmth. He must always show her that his guidance and tutoring is knowledgeable and deserving of her attention, that this is a man she can learn from, and trust his direction.
4 At all times the Master must remember that he is fulfilling a need in the Submissive partner. As a stern and demanding Master he can cause the Submissive partner to cry real tears while taking full advantage of the powers granted to him, but he does so in the knowledge that it is to share the mutual pleasure that comes from the offered submission. As the consummate lover, he will then kiss the tears away, without stepping out of character.
5 At all times a Master remembers that he is a supportive friend and partner, never forgetting that this is still a loving relationship between two caring individuals. He is quick to understand the differences between fantasy and reality. He would never ask a slave to put him before her career, or family, just to satisfy his own pleasure.
6 The Master is protective and chivalrous. When called upon, he will fight for his Lady's honor. He proves to her that he is someone she can lean on, and depend on.
7 The Master never uses discipline without a good reason. He is strong and unyielding in training the Submissive Partner in obedience, accepting no flaw or imperfection. The Master will always give instruction with a knowledgeable and careful hand.
8 The Master is always open to communication and discussion, always ready to hear her wants and needs. He is patient, taking time to learn her limits, and knowing that as her trust of him grows so will they. He never has to demand ritual behavior by her. She responds to him out of the want of pleasing him. Compliance comes from the wanting to please, not the fear of punishment. He understands the fragile nature of mind and body and never violates the trust given to him.
9 He is secure enough to laugh at himself and the absurdities of life. Open minded enough to learn new things, strong enough to grow; the Master’s tools are mind, body, spirit, soul, and love. The Master understands that each partner gains most from pleasuring the other. And both of them know that love and trust are the only bindings that truly hold.
10 The Master respects the boundaries of proprietary when speaking to the Submissive of another Master. He will not encroach on nor cause dissension within the relationship to bring about disunity and disaffection of the Submissive for her Master. The Master will treat the Submissive with courtesy and respect, mirroring the respect due to another Master.
