On October 3rd 2012, I was blessed with a neice, Madilynn. But being 2 months early, she weighed 3 pounds at birth. Which resulted in her living the first month and a half of her life in a hospital. Shortly after she was released to go home, we learned that she has a heart condition. Being the strong family that we are, we put on happy faces and fought through all the appointments and medication she needs to be healthy. About 2 weeks ago, we learned that she is also blind in her right eye. Well last night she went to the specialist who told us the most devastating news. Not only is Madilynn blind in her right eye, but she also has a cancerous tumor growing on the eye itself, and in order to stop it from spreading, they must remove the eye and replace it with a glass eye. Please keep in mind that this little girl is only 10 months old. The most innocent person I know. From the moment she was born, all we have done is pray that there would be no more pain for her. That she had had enough to last her a lifetime. But all we have gotten is problem after problem. How does a 10 month old baby, who knows nothing of the world and its evils, ever deserve that? I was born and raised in a Christian home. And I know I might be pissing off a lot of people by saying this, but right now, I am questioning my beliefs. Where is your God now. And where has he been for the last 10 months while this little girl has been going through pain?
My name is Brittany. I am 19 years old and I live in a small town on the West Coast. I'm not into all the girly things like shopping and getting my nails done or wearing high heels. I was raised by my father, therefore, I like things like: riding quads, shooting guns, having mud wars, playing video games, wrestling, and watching sports. Don't get me wrong, I have a few girly qualities. I scream like a little girl when I see snakes or spiders, I use baby talk with my animals, I cry during certain movies or TV shows, and I always run to my daddy when I'm hurt, sad, or pissed off. My other hobbies include drawing, making music, singing, writing, hanging out with friends and loved ones, and meeting new people.
I can't tell you my favorite color. Mostly because as an artist, I favor all the colors. Because every color brings out the beauty of at least one object.
I am a VERY opinionated person. I have experienced hate at its worst. I have been bullied and judged by the way I look, the things I do, and the people I love.
Family has always been THE most important thing in my life. I have learned that true friends are limited and not to take it for granted.
I have 3 animals living with me here at home. I have a purebred Pomeranian name Jib-Jab. I have a cat named Ninja. And I have a new kitten named Smokey.
As a warning, I do not hold back when I blog. There will be things that you may disagree on. But please don't judge me for them. I truly believe that I am a good person in general. I am honest, and giving, and I try my hardest to make others happy before myself. So PLEASE keep in mind that I am a person and we all have different views on different subjects.
