I finally did it! The World's Largest FREE Online Coin Database and Price Guide

So back in November of 2006 I got this crazy idea. I wanted to build an online database for coins. Not only would it have pictures of every coin ever minted, but prices.
You wouldn't believe how expensive coin price guides are. To get a good "World Coin" price guide you're looking at $60...which covers coins between 2001 and 2006. Want the 20th century? Another $60! 19th Century? 18th Century? 17th Century? $60, $60, and $60! $300 bucks for books? LOL yep. They don't even picture every coin and in a year there are new editions of each book.
So I decided that I'd do my own online. The cool thing is that it's maintained entirely by the people who use the site. Prices are set by the people who actually buy and sell the coins. There's pictures as long as someone has entered them. Anyone can contribute. Anyone can show off their coins.
I plan to keep the site free forever. And I mean really forever. I remember back when Net Zero offered free internet, they said it'd be forever. Now they charge like $20 a month. How can you call yourself Net Zero and not be free any more? Well I don't know. I tried Net Zero about 6 years ago when it was free and it was just as sucky as any other dialup service. But darn it, I really do want to keep it free forever. Unless of course Google offers me a billion dollars...
