Her pack circling around you, trotting through the trees on silent paws like shadows in the darkness as they surround you on her silent command. Like a well oiled machine they move together, creating a living breathing cage as she stares at you. Her glittering gold gaze steady upon you,daring you to move, telling you that you have no chance, no choice.
The night presses upon you as you stand, the moon like a spotlight wrapping you in pale white light as cold as her hungry gaze and still she watches. You look left, then right and see only empty darkness even as you feel the weight of their stare. Your heart pounding in your ears,your throat closing as you try to breath, and an uncontrollable tremble running through your body as the sweet scent of your fear fills the air like a lure teasing her senses as she steps closer.
Her lip curls in a silent snarl as she comes closer. Her movements graceful and terrifying as you taste your own death in the night air each time you drag a breath into your starving lungs. She leaps....
Her forepaws land against your chest knocking the breath out of you as you fall back. Your eyes wide, your hands comming up to try to block, and your heart beating so fast it feels as if it will burst at any moment. You hear her pack emerging from the trees, your mouth opens in what seems like slow motion. She issues a low growl and before a sound has the chance to escape your painfully tight throat, her jaw locks around it, clenching quickly and ending it all.
