It seems no more than a moment since I began my college English course, but now I have to say goodbye to English classes when I am still lost in it. It is certainly not the end of English learning though.
It may be surprising to my friends that I am so addicted to English. Actually that is not true. I love English because I can reap a lot from learning such a beautiful language.
It goes without saying that learning a foreign language is tough, sometimes painful. However, do not deny the happiness English has brought you.
Since the first day of English learning, we have been given the ability of appreciating English music. After learning such many English songs as ABC song, A Hundred miles, Yesterday Once More, Big big World, Dreams Come True, God is a girl, and so on, I become attracted by the charming melody, sound and even the language.
Besides, with the knowledge of English, I find it difficult for me to miss any newly-produced American movies, which is not always a bad thing I dare say. Gradually influenced by those movies, I am coming to know about the development of American the super nation at least and its culture as well. The most important thing is that watching those movies gives us a casual occasion where all people speak English so that we would not feel shy to repeat after the actors. In a word, learning English through American movies is efficient and has greatly broadened our mind.
Since English is an world language, it makes it easy for people to communicate with each other. I , too, benefit in this way, for I have made some foreign friends both in the real world and online. In our spare time, we talk or chat, exchanging our cultures and different opinions, which I believe to be one of the best memories in my life.
English is such a beautiful and useful language that it makes our life colorful, and ourselves imaginative and creative. Therefore, it really worth the time I’ve spent and I’ll spend on it.
