How can you go out and drink yourself stupid, then drive 100MPH with your 6 year old kid in the car? Another one that I just took in to the hospital, that will survive, but is going to need many surgerys to repair his body. Many more years to heal him mentally, and only with professional help. He just happened to be with mom and dad with both intoxicated. Better yet no car seat, or booster seat. Better yet a seat belt. The kid was thrown over 60' from the car after impact with another car and a building.This is the part of the job I HATE. I haven't learned after almost 26 years of doing it. But I know he was getting the best care available at the time.
