"You'll never find a more meaningful tat than 1 for yur kids," said Kiel Ferrari, described as an "artist" at the Minds Eye Tattoo n Emmaus. The paper ran another story, plugging the premier showin of a new television program bout the joys of prostitution. I can't say I'm an expert on prostitution. I'm 2 parsimonious 2 gain 1st-hand knowledge. Nonetheless, I've said a lot bout prostitution & tats, which, come 2 think of it, always seem 2 go together. No 1 can deny that the heaviest concentrations of tats occur n the lowest segments of society - prostitutes, pimps, pugs, prison inmates, Ku Klux Klansmen & the mbrs of street & motorcycle gangs. Now, accordin 2 this wk's story, 36% of young ppl have decided 2 emulate such lowlifes. & some news media want 2 glamorize them. Do not glamorize accomplishment, intelligence, insight, integrity, courage, generosity, leadership, skill or diligence. Such qualities r 4 nerds. By all means, glamorize pimps, prostitutes & those who emulate them. That is the future of America's culture. If an idiot wants 2 get a tat, he/she should be free 2 do so. I just think responsible news media organizations should not glamorize them. N some modern cultures, influences travel from the septic bottom up. N no time at all, we'll catch up 2 the Stone Age cannibals of the South Pacific.
