Last night had to be one of the most terrifying nights of my life, i almost lost one of my Godsisters, Ofelia. I don't know what exactly happened, but Chris, the dad, said the grandma had just finished feeding Ofelia. For those of you who don't know, Ofelia was born 5 months premature and she has a lot of medical problems like seizures, she cannot eat real food, she cant walk, cant speak, she will have learning disabilities all her life, she is fed throgh a tube in her stomache. But she is still a wonderfull baby to take care of and play with. Anyways, they had just finished feeding her when all of the sudden she got real woozy and suddenly turned blue, then purple, and suddenly stopped breathing.
The ambulance was called and Ofelia was rushed to St. Joesph's Hospital, at that time i had already been contacted with the rest of the family and raced like a bat out of hell to get to the hospital. The baby didnt breath for a whole hour and was pronounced dead at 11:42 pm yesterday. ten minutes later she was being carried by a nurse to the morg when she suddenly woke up screaming and clawed the nurses arm till it bled. they immediately stuck her on oxygen and did testing on her. they havent the slightest clue what happened, but it causes even more brain damage and a small hemmorage on the brain.
I didnt sleep last night after getting home from the hospital. i sat up in bed, thinking about when my turn will be, How it will be, so sudden Like the baby's?? I don't know, thats up to someone else, not the doctors or the nurses or and human,but its up to Him, the awesome power of God. And I know he's out there.......... He let her live another day
