Meytal Cohen - Drum Covers Includes Videos!=========================================================I'm a drummer.
Stuff I like now:
Pantera
Korn
Tool
Lamb of God
Slipknot, etc etc...
Stuff I grew up with then: (Early 80's)
Ozzy
Motley Crue
Metallica
Kiss
Def Leppard
Black Sabbath
Quiet Riot
Anvil, etc etc...
I used to Breakdance, ya that's right, circa 1981 onward, when it "all" started.
Shit I used to beat down with:
Ice T (Ya that's right, Ice fuckin' T)
Snoop Dog
Chaka Kahn
Grandmaster and Melle Mel
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, etc etc...
I also enjoyed Funk for a while and still really do like it. Not the new stuff, the classics like Tower of Power and James Brown style funk. Something about the beats mixed with Brass that really gets me going!
My Father raised me on Folk & Blues, you name it from Dylan, Lightfoot, Joplin, BB King, Nat King Cole, he listened to it and still does. He plays a mean guitar! Music is the greatest gift my Father ever gave me.
Due to my colored musical preferences in the past, my present is a great mix of all the best music the art has to offer. All of it is very personal to me. Throw in some Chopin, Beethoven and god knows whatever other classical music (in my stuffy, snooty years trying to be all fancy with Science, Math and Astronomy) for good measure and I have a good sense of music. I can not and will not, "ever" put down an entire genre of music and flat out say it sucks just because I don't listen to it. (Country and Punk on the other hand, really puts me to the test.)
From all this, I play all genres, mainly Top 40, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Dance, Electronica, House and Dupstep. I'm connected to it.
I don't listen to the old stuff anymore, but I do catch on to bands that I've missed over the years far later than the average person.
