Interests
Philosophy: What makes us tick? Why are who we are? Where are we going? These are questions I ask myself on those dark, cold nights. And I have a different answer depending on how cynical I'm feeling that day.
Science: Why does crust form on mustard bottles, even when you're careful to wipe it off? Could I extend my life by introducing nanobots to my system to repair my cells? Could I be immortal if I could use my microwave oven to cut out that bit of DNA that causes us to age?
Conspiracy Theories: Planet X in 2010!
Psuedo-science: I want a perpetual motion machine. One that generates electricity.
Sex: Why don't human women go into heat? Why? WHY?
Music
Punk, hardcore, alternative, 80's, 70's proto-metal, 60's. I can listen to anything but "R&B", rap, and country.
So... Here we go:
Alice Donut, Black Flag, MOD, SOD, GWAR, GG Allen, Dead Kennedys, No Means No, New Model Army, Cold Play, Elastica, Buzzcocks, The Dickies, The Dead Milkmen, Moody Blues, Uriah Heep, Blue Cheer, Hawkwind, Yes, Suicidal Tendencies, MDC, Sex Pistols, JFA, The Vandals, The Cure, The Sweet, Generation X, Billy Idol, B52's, Died Pretty, Pere Ubu, Sore Throat, The Six and Violence, The Exploited, Charged GBH, AMQA, The Mighty Lemondrops, Tygers of Pan Tang, White Wolf, White Snake, Iggy Pop, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson.
There's more. I just gotta keep adding.
Movies
Army of Darkness, The Road Warrior, Cannonball Run.
I think differently about movies than other people, I think. Movies can be seperated into two major categories: Regular and Summer.
A summer movie is a movie, usually a comedy/adventure or sci-fi/fantasy that isn't majorly special, but it's great to see when you want to sit in the air conditioning for an hour or so.
Howard the Duck, Big Trouble In Little China, Wargames, Cannonball Run. Those are movies I would put in the "Summer Movie" category. Personally, I love them. It doesn't matter how stupid they are.
Idols
I don't really have any idols. Not even Billy. I look up to a lot of people, sure. Mostly my friends and family. I don't idolize them, though.
I did play with the idea of having a golden calf, but that didn't turn out to well.
Video Games
Hit Man: Blood Money -- Completed
Oblivion -- Still working on it
I grew up around video games. My conscious era started at around the same time Space Invaders came about, so they've been kind of ingrained in my life. I was the type of kid who could hang out in an arcade all day long just watching people play. I consider video games to be a kind of art. You need imagination and skill to make them, so why not?
