Run faster I scream they are gaining ground,
Trees whipping past our faces deep heavy breaths the only sound.
The dark evil beasts that hunt our very souls,
Have us trapped in this place hope fading the darkness taking its toll.
Sweat pouring down my face my own blood crusted on my lips,
My eyes start to sting I can feel the pain in my hips.
Stay with me I scream they are right behind us,
I look back and see their black hollow sockets death their only lust.
My companion is getting weak the tears are beginning to fall,
I can not lose it I must be strong all for one and one for all.
I can see a clearing ahead the moonlight guiding the way,
As we draw nearer the rain begins to fall washing our own sins away.
Give me your hand I yell as I try to reach the high land ahead,
The hand never reaches me as my companion falls to the ground dead.
I look up and see the nasty beast that just took part of my soul,
Its jagged teeth bared at me letting me know I'm next to go.
I fall to my knees tired from the pain my heart has endured,
I bow my head in defeat my own death about to be secured.
As I draw my final ragged breaths,
Death stands before me saying its my time to rest.
Upon the rain soaked grounds of my very own dream,
The soul eater prepares to take another its breath a hot unholy steam.
On my knees I being to pray to a god who I know not exists,
I can feel the anger start to rise my hands turn into fists.
I scream at the top of my lungs I will not go,
But the soul eater has other plans as his knife starts to dig its hole.
No I yell as my eyes roll up into the back of my head,
As blood trickles down my nose I whisper, "Not I but you shall be the one who is dead!"
Fueled by anger and hate filled rage I rise up from the ground,
The final battle about to start the war for my soul will be engaged.
The rain falls harder as I take the knife out of my chest,
My very soul my very essence leaks from me knowing soon I will take my final breath.
But before I do I take the very weapon used on me and jam it in his neck,
With the scream like a evil wraiths my reaper leaves a black mist in his wake.
My soul saved from an eternity of torture I slowly fall to the flooded ground,
My final breath drawen I hear the rain which is my last sound.
