Shadows of forsaken time.
Memories of the times gone by.
Holding close to present day.
Trying to remember everything you say.
Knowing what the future holds.
I try to ignore the searing colds.
Holding close to the warmth you bring.
Reviling in how you make my heart sing.
The ever present pushed of till the morrow.
Constantly fending off the future sorrow.
Still I try to hold on to this day.
Memories of the times gone by.
Wells of tears grow in my eyes.
Passing memories of the things you used to say.
The strength I had seams to fray.
The warmth you gave stays in my heart.
Even though now we seem so far apart.
Memories of you seem to turn to shadows.
Memories of the times gone by.
Strength renewed because of you.
Memories of the things you used to say.
Bring me the faith to continue a new day
The horrors of sorrows still come to me.
Wile the memories of you set me free.
The warmth you gave fills me anew.
And the teachings you gave will one day bring me back to you.
