Yet again another friend is going to be laid to rest. This time not of his own hand and the hand of the fates but of someone elses. Chris all I can say is ull be missed very much and all I can say about the stiuation is that it's fucked up.
On April 25th at 1:30 am My firend Chris curry was beatn to death with a flashlight. Over some stupid jealousy shit. Being from a small town you know everyone. I know the man that killed him and would have never thought he could do such a thing but dosent eveyone say that when things like this happen. Its justs a messed up and im still at a lost of words about it. I guess im writing this not only to say goodbye to yet another friend but try to make sense of the whole mess.

Chris Anthony Curry age 31 of Mt. Sterling, Illinois and formerly of Rushville, Illinois passed away at 1:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 in Rushville.
He was born August 17, 1976 in Beardstown, Illinois the son of Roger L. and Rita M. Malcomson Curry.
Chris had worked for Mt. Sterling IGA and most recently worked for Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling.
He attended Rushville High School and later received his GED.
Chris always enjoyed playing video games, riding his dirt bike and most of all working out and lifting weights at the YMCA. He also loved to text and talk on his cell phone.
Survivors include his mother Rita M. Phelps of Weslaco, Texas. His father Roger Curry of Rushville, Illinois. 1 son Cody Curry of Arenzville, Illinois. 1 brother Shane Baer and his wife Amanda of Beardstown, Illinois. 2 sisters Lisa Taylor and Gina Trone and her husband Doug all of Rushville, Illinois. His paternal grandmother Theresa Curry of Rushville also survives along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Kenneth “Greek” and Opal Malcomson and his paternal grandfather Robert Curry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Pastor Fred Fritz officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Sterling City Cemetery.
Friends may call anytime after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday with the family meeting friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Friends may also call from 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Cody Curry Trust Fund.
