I have lived all my life in Harford County. I remember much of the county before it became so built up. The road I used to live on as a child (and moved back to in my adult life) was never travelled very much. There were so many potholes that when you were driving, you felt like you were playing a game of Dodge 'Em (old Atari game). There were never any businesses along that road but always lots of trees. Almost guaranteed when a storm came through, either the lightning would strike a tree, or the wind would blow over trees and they would fall on the powerlines. Needless to say, our power went out quite a bit and my parents always had a supply of candles on hand. They would light them and since we couldn't watch TV or play video games, we would all sit around and play board games together.
