You may never hear I love you slip through my parted lips If you can't see it in the things I do you may never understand its grip Those are mere words uttered bare too often without thought or true care Mistaken so often for desire or thrill and not thought through intentions and will So, if one day I say it you will truly know it comes from deep within and never will it go. I do = I accept you as my own I love you = I accept you as you are and what you are to become

I would never hold someone, back from going after what they want. Because I have been: pushed down, held back, turned down and halted. Stopped, misguided, and redirected. Pulled over, held on to, let go of. Uninspired, underestimated, and over stimulated. Talked down to, let down, teased, and guilted. Burdened with responsibility and given up my identity. Run over, overlooked, appeased. Broken, bruised, unappreciated, and disrespected. Every word coming from someone who LOVEd me. So go for it, do what you want, and say what you will. Knowing in the end, someone cares for you still.

Guarded and protected I shall serve out my days As it is so much easier than navigating haze The one who breaks the curse of the spell I've so entwined Will own me complete soul, body, and mind

You know enough about me to know I will run if it gets too close to fast tormented and torn to not repeat the past Every inch of me aches for the excitement I feel when you're around To give into that rush for longer than a moment would put me entirely on new ground Stable and strong, determined to succeed will always direct the path I am to lead deter me for a moment if that's all there is to give those are the memories reminding me I've lived
