Well, I very rarely go out of my way to blog about people... for many reasons... partially because I may say something that could or would offend them, or because it would offend someone else...
But, recently I've noticed a fair amount of my friends in contests and giveaways... And I noticed one specific name behind many of these... and many of you know her... Stephanie Lynn... She's been on my friend's list for quite awhile... but I so often hear people saying "I'm in this contest, or this giveaway" and SHE is the one Hosting this. So today, I was helping a friend, who was in the contest, and was reading through her past blogs, and noticed how often she does stuff for other people... and Why? She's an oracle... she's not gaining points and levels (like many people on fubar who are hosting such giveaways) and her current giveaway is massive... the number of people in it... into the 70's I believe... they all have to get a certain number of comments in a certain time frame in order to get the "prize", so to speak. And why? What is she personally gaining? Nothing. She's just a very giving person... And it amazes me, how I will beg and plead for my friends to help me bomb people, and even give a few comments... and most of them wont even spare 5 or 10 comments... yet, here is this woman who is giving away TONS of stuff... that isn't worth Fu-time, but real money. What does that say about her? I mean, I feel like I'm kissing ass almost, but, we all know what a bitch I can be, and know I don't kiss ass... I am just amazed at what all this woman does for others...
Not too long ago I read a blog on her page, I'm not sure if it's still there... and because it was her blog I will not go into the details, but let's just say things of the not nice nature were being said about her... and I commented on it... thinking, why is this person I see so often doing so much for others being attacked? And the more I've started paying attention, and really noticing all she does for others, I have begun to truly admire her. I don't know her well, personally, at all. Except for a few emails. But, actions speak louder than words ever will... And this is on fubar. I feel her friends, in the 'real world' so to speak, have got to be so very lucky to have someone who cares so much about others, and is so giving... I mean, money is money, sure it's just some paper... but it's the thought behind it. She doesn't have to do it.
Why this amazes me... I'm not sure... I guess a lot of things recently have added to this... Seeing how stingy my friends are with comments, while I'm trying to help others... seeing how cruel people are on fubar on a daily basis, and seeing the many many cruel things that happen in my personal life on a daily basis... I guess it's all added up...
So, there was my rant for the day... Although it wasn't a bad rant, it was a rant... I wish you all the best evening... and if you have some time, stop by, and show some fu-love to Stephanie... Not because I told you to do it, but because of the awesome person she is...
