There’s such a thing as rep-tism... You know what I’m talking about. People who are otherwise very open minded, yet don’t think reptiles can be good pets. People who think that the only appropriate pets have fur. Why can they not see the value of reptiles as well? Why couldn’t I derive just as much unconditional love from my gecko, my alligator, my frog? Who’s to say that pets with scales can’t be just as rewarding to own as a cat or dog? And who are the rept-ists to judge those who DO form lifelong relationships with their bearded dragons and their iguanas? We’re talking about rational people here. People who would never accept other isms in their life. People who would balk at racism or sexism, yet they look down their noses at people who happen to have pets that differ from theirs. I just find this unacceptable and I want it to stop. Right now. That’s it. lol Good.

So I go to the grocery store, get some big juicy sirloins, potatoes, corn on the cob to grill for dinner. (We just used the grill a couple days ago) I get back home and Sean goes out back to turn on the grill, only our grill is gone... Completely gone.. It was chained and padlocked to our railing that comes up to the back door. The chain was cut and laying there, our grill and propane tank are just.. missing. I asked the people upstairs if anyone asked them about the grill or if they saw anything.. Nope. So if anyone has an old grill that they don't want, I'm in need. Keep in mind I'm poor folk so free or cheap is better. Ooh even better if you have a propane tank. Ya, I'm more than a little pissed off about that. Makes me feel violated, like someone's been rummaging through my underwear or something.. Someone is grilling their food on MY grill!!

Yesterday I was feeling ancy for no apparant reason and took my notebook out onto the porch to watch the kids behind the house going in and out of the Cremeland parking lot licking eachother's ice cream cones. I pondered how simple it was when I was little. You licked your female friends' ice creams, but not the boys, lest we get cooties. I wish it were so simple still. Now I worry about catching mono from sipping the same straw as someone else or squatting above the public toilet seat because someone forwarded me a chain letter about how crabs can jump 3 ft. off a public toilet seat.. And apparantly they don't care that you've shaved off all your pubes, they'll find a home. I don't know where I was going with this, or if it had a destination at all.. I'll just sit here in left field and wait for another fellow writer to join me...

So Karoline and I went out today to find the Bullrun. We headed north expecting to find them on 89 coming from Canada to Boston.. Noooooo they end up going to North Conway. So we found a few guys from the Bullrun that were on the side of the road and we decided to stop and see if they needed any help. They let us know that the rally went another route and they were heading to Boston. We followed them, but they took an exit and we decided to go the route that would get us there faster. (I'm from the area... I know the highways well.) We never saw them again. We ended up in the garage where they were parking the cars for the night. With their permission! So there we are... the only people they were allowing in the garage that were not participants or employees. The sound quality is absolutely crap, but the cars make up for it.
