I am a member here and MySpace and numerous others spots on the web that people can come together and chat and get to know each other. But the other day I had a person pose a question that got me thinking. Ops did she screw up so I just had to let my mind explore this issue and have entered that question in my book. Yes I am and have been developing chapters and combining them into a book which I hope to one day gets published. But that is another story. This person whom I had asked via the net to join my friends list posed this question to me, "WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MY FRIND?" I was taken back a bit and had never been asked that question. So I ask you people even the ones that have so graciously joined my friend’s network and rated me (I hope honestly) why do you pick me to be your friend? Why do you pick anyone to be your friend? What does a friend mean to you? What is friendship to you? I know most don’t care for or even listen to country music but Tracy Lawrence has a song out that states to the heart of it what a friend is. Take the time to listen to it "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" and take the time to reflect and ask yourself are you a friend a true friend? Would you drop what you are doing and unselfishly support and assist another with no hidden agenda? Search your soul and look real deep for the answer. It definitely had me do a bit of soul searching in the matter and I have drawn conclusions to the issue also. I have lots of friends or so called friends but they are one way friends. Do you know what I mean by that statement? Well a one way friend does for you when you are in need or need help and you have never offered or even asked them if they needed help. This can go in both directions and that is what I refer to as a one way friend. I have stepped out numerous times fro my friends and yet they stand by watch and never once offered to assist me in any way! Are they less of a friend? NO they are a friend and friends have no rating scale to me a friend is a friend no matter what. Once a friend always a friend. Think about the friend thing there is more and I can go deeper and deeper but let’s stop here and watch the replies. This is just my thoughts on it and there is no right or wrong on a thought. Rick

Well this should not be hard but as I sit here at work I wounder how many are spending time with loved ones and cherishing those moments? All to soon we lose someone near and dear to us but only then do we wish we had spent more time with them. Yet the ones that are left here that we can at the least make up time with we tend to ignore like they will always b here. People are yet still agian so forgetful and but only a few realize that it the holiday season isnt the only time to express ones love or caring spirit but this should be done everyday. That uncle you have that you think is so cool, heck May 1st pick the dang phone up tak a few moments out of your so busy day and call him to shoot the breeze! Tell your father and or Mother that you love them and look them in the eyes when you do. We tend to get so wrapped up in our busy schedules and lives we forget to quickly that a man's worth is not weighed by what he has accumulated, but by what he eaves behind, his legacey. I did not come to realize this until it bitch slapped me in the face. My father passed away a few years ago and that was then that I realized that what I had done so far in life wasnt anything to compare to anything. My father's true worth and riches came out when at the funeral they actually turned people away because the building wasnt big enough to hold them. They were people that knew my father and I heard story after story of things he had done out of his way to help them and they never forgot him for it. It was then I knew that my father was a or was the richest man in the universe. I mubbled on about this example toenforce my point. Dont just get sudenly generious during the holiday season, dont just get approachable during the holiday season, religious during the season, and more than anything dont let this be the one and only time you actually express lov eto the ones dearest and nearest to you. Make a New Years resolution to smile at a stranger, open a doo for someone, lend a hand to someone les fortunate, tell your loved ones you truly love them as often as you can. Improve the status of MANKIND!, We a s people need to think of others first and ourseves last and we will see an improvement in everythign even ourselves! I want to tak a momnet to wish everyone a Mery Christmas and Happy New Year and God bless everyone my he look down on you in favor and bless you with life and the required blessing to sustain you in what ever means he deems for you to be in.
