Rain Is Liquid Sunshine
by Thought Collector
I awoke to a cloudy and cool morning, a reminder that nature is not yet through with our early spring like weather. We certainly need the rain and welcome its arrival. My dad says that rain is liquid sunshine. Tony and I were down by the creek yesterday and he commented it is the lowest he has seen it. It is very low there is no doubt. We are still in a very dry period and have not gotten the prolonged spring rains that we need to sustain a normal creek level. Hopefully the forecast is correct and we will see some rain in the coming days.
I am reminded of a phone call I had recently with a friend in a neighboring state. It was raining that particular day and when I mentioned this her reply was, “Yes, it’s miserable here too.” I have always wondered why some people look at rainy or wet weather as miserable or bad. Rain is good, a giver of life, just as important as sunshine.
