My name is Mandy Teresa. I have been through and caused more heartbreak than most can ever imagine. I use song lyrics to describe how I am feeling...cheesy...I know, but whatever, it's something I've done my entire life. I've been married and divorced and then remarried. I got my world rocked and shattered when my second husband, and THE love of my life, passed away just three days before my 29th birthday. I am facinated by hurricanes, tornados, and astronomy. I am VERY proud of how different of a person I am now compared to the one I was ten years ago. It upsets me badly when people judge you by who you were in your past, and don't even make an effort to know who you are now and see how you've changed...story of my life. I love to cook and I am very good at it. I am attending college to be a pharmacy tech. I am slowly learning to play the bass guitar and I am absolutely loving it. I have an especially huge passion for cooking and eating Italian food. I can be moody and a little crazy sometimes, (but what woman isn't?!) I say what's on my mind. If I say it you had best believe I meant it because I've learned with age to say what you mean and mean what you say. I have children out there that have no idea how much I love them and it kills me. I stand up for what I believe in even if it means standing alone and even when it scares me to death. Dancing is my stress relief. I am currently reading "Dianetics" by L. Ron Hubbard, and although it is "politically incorrect", I consider myself a "Christain Scientologist". I put peanuts in my Coke. I love the smell of fresh cut grass in the summer, and burning leaves in the fall. My favorite seasons are spring and fall. I try not to sweat the small stuff, even when it all seems to pile up on me at once and makes me want to rip my darn hair out. I have learned the hard way that you have to take the good with the bad and try to always focus on the good, even when the bad stuff outweighs the good stuff. I seem to mess up quite a bit, but thank God, as I have gotten older, I actually learn from the mistakes I make. I believe in God and that Jesus died on the cross for me. I try everyday to be a better person. Want to know more, get at me.
And now that I've told you a little bit about me, let me share with you what life has taught me...WHAT I'VE LEARNED ABOUT LIFE: A birth certificate shows that we were born, a death certificate shows that we died, pictures show that we LIVED! I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other, and just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do. I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. The same goes for true love. I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back. I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I've learned that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts. I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you. I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences. I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice. I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it. I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time. I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up. I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel. I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself. I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated. I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for whom we become. I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life. Forever. I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different. I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you. I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, if a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help. I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being. I've learned that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon. I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I would like to one day once again meet all the ones I have loved and lost way too soon, and when my time here is through, I hope to meet the man who gave his life for me, otherwise known as Jesus Christ and the one responsible for sending him to be my salvation, otherwise known as God.
And last but not least, the following famous people: Skeet Ulrich, Shimon (Shim) Moore from Sick Puppies, David Cook, Jason Wade from Lifehouse, Fergie, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Criss Angel, Lil' Wayne, (I'm sure there are many more that I just can't think of right now). As far as on here, I'm just looking to keep up with friends and family, and hopefully make new lifelong friendships and bonds that have meaning. So if you're looking for anything other than that, carry your tail off my page because I have developed a zero tolerance for stupidity and ignorance.
I BELIEVE...
THAT IMAGINATION IS STRONGER THAN KNOWLEDGE,
THAT MYTH IS MORE POTENT THAN HISTORY,
THAT DREAMS ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN FACTS,
THAT HOPE ALWAYS TRIUMPHS OVER EXPERIENCE,
THAT LAUGHTER IS THE ONLY CURE FOR GRIEF,
AND I BELIEVE THAT LOVE IS STRONGER THAN DEATH.
