My delema. I work for a large company in a smaller town, population about 15,000. I make good money for this area, but I have been offered a promotion. The catch is that it will require a move, probably several states away. Here is my delema. Do I take the promotion and move away from my 10 year old son, or stay here.
PROS: Double my salary, huge bonuses, further advancement oppurtunities later too. Be able to do more for my son financially and be able to provide more for him as he gets older. He is 10 right now.
CONS: move away from my son, which is why I turned down the last one. If I dont take it, the positions will be filled and dont come available often and no telling when it will come back around.
He says he would miss me but if I need to move he understands and can come see me on school breaks and summers. All ideas welcome. thanks |
