So guess who is going all the video/audio editing for right KSEX now? Its a new adventure everyday I tell ya. I've always liked to design and create but never thought about doing any sort of editing. With the recent move to the new studio in Chatsworth and departures from KSEX, Soxxx and I have had to step up and take on new roles within the company. I probably average about 12 hours days now. Once I lock and leave the studio about 12:30am, I come home to edit most nights until about 3:30am. Not having any experience in editing makes things difficult but luckily, Windows Movie Maker is pretty simple to grasp. I'm learning quite a bit and so far most people at KSEX like what I've done. I just need to get my hands on some actual editing software. I've gotten myspace messages from some of my favorite industry people asking why I don't come out to industry parties or to Porn Star Karaoke anymore. Editing, hosting shows on air and the new KSEX studio are the reasons. I need a vacation....

Been getting phone messages, e-mail and myspace messages from people trying to get in touch with me. This past week I took a day job that keeps me in training from 7am-4pm Mon-Fri and I am also still working at KSEX full time Mon-Fri from 6pm-Midnight. Right now I'm not allowed to check my personal e-mail, answer my cell, sent txt messages or check myspace while at the day job so, it might take me a while to return your messages or calls but I will. For years I thought my "calling" for a career was computer technical support. I always enjoyed working with computer, fixing them, playing games on them, etc. As time went on, it went from something I enjoyed doing to a career I "had to do" to earn money. I became bored as the years rolled by. Doing my job because I had to rather them because I wanted to. I was told by my co-workers and managers, I was great at my job and a "natural" at working with computers but, over the last 10 years but never felt... satisfied with what I did for a living in technical support. Then suddenly (I mean literately in one day), I ended up with a job in the adult industry three years ago TODAY. I'm still doing technical work, still fixing and working with computers (also with soundboards, mixers, video cameras, etc) but, also interacting with people on much more social level. Getting to know adult film stars on a personal level rather then, just seeing them as their "porn star persona" has also been a big bonus for me. Most people in the adult industry I've met, have been the most thoughtful, giving and interesting people I've met during my lifetime. In the corporate world, I worked my ass off with little payoff (other then a paycheck). In the adult industry, I've gotten more appreciation for my work and for who I am as a person, over the past three years, then over the last eleven in technical support. Its night and day when compared. These days, I WANT to go to work. I WANT to put 110% into what I do. I look forward to seeing my co-workers every day. Most of all I actually CARE about what I'm doing and have a passion for it like I've never had for a job in my life. The adult industry has been very good to me but there have been a few trade offs... I haven't dated much or been in a relationship over the past three years. From time to time I get asked why. These are the best answers I can give: - Most civilian (non industry) woman want nothing to do with a man who works in porn. - Most industry women want to nothing to do with a guy who works behind the scenes. They tend to float towards producers, directors, male talent, etc. - I'm also on average 10-15 years older then most of the women currently in the industry. - Compared to a lot of the men who are in the industry, I am average or even less then average looking. Also, I don't get to see many of my civilian friends anymore. I've even lost so called "friends" because I work in the adult industry. I don't make nearly the money I did when I worked in technical support as well, which can make life difficult at times. But if asked if the trade offs to my personal life are worth it, I can always answer YES. I'm happy. I'm happy with my job, my life and the people I've gotten to know. These "porn" people, that mainstream tend to look down on but wants to secretly be a part of, who have enriched me with their friendship, their passion for life and their open minds. How many people can look at their lives and careers and say the same thing about themselves? I am a very lucky man.
