~*~ A Warrior Lost ~*~

~*~ A Warrior Lost ~*~ Grand Father, White mans being destroys Life itself. A warrior once strong in Heart, Mind, and Spirit. Warriors with Honor and Pride. Through White mans exissence and Laws. Fate to a Warrior brings Existence. A Warrior bows his head in Dishonor, A strong Heart, but Spirit lives. A Spirit with life like the Eagle. Powerful, Beautiful, and Graceful. Knowledge and Wisdom like the Owl, but Above all Free and Ones Self. As his Spirit the Great Heavens, A New Life into his Whole Being. Like the Eagle a Warrior years for Domain of new Horizons. As the Warrior gives of himself To the Fate creates his Destiny. He Fears nothing, defends nothings. As the Warriors Spirit Soars Past the Eagle to Freedom. 1. Always respect your mother the earth, she takes care of us for we are her children. 2. Never speak out loud in a bad way towards anybody or about certain things. 3. If you claim to have Native Pride then show it in everything you do and always remember who and what you are. 4. Remember you represent your tribe in all that you do and how you present yourself reflects onto your tribe. 5. Remember the interconnection between all living things, whether it be plants, humans, four legged or two legged animls and the underwater animals as well. 6. Never be afraid to go to the sweat lodge for help, guidance or to be cleansed, the lodge is there to help Indian people 7. Look to Native ways as an alternative to drinking and abusing drugs. 8. Look to the tribal elders for education and learn all that you can from them. 9. If you want to fight for your people, then get well educated. Just like the warriors in the old days, you have to have full knowledge of the times, that way you can defend your people better 10. Realize that it's not the skin color that makes you Indian but the content of your beliefs in your heart and how you respect and follow traditonal ways 11. Always live with respect toward others, the earth, your family, your traditional ways and yourself 12. Realize that if you fail so do your people 13. Learn your religion, because without it there's nothing to be proud about. 14. Don't spend your time trying to see who the toughest Indian on the reservation is, when you do that it shows how really weak we can be, we need to be strong to carry on our tradition. We need to respect each other and look to each other for help. 15. If you believe in the Native ways, then you are Native American. If you don't practice them then you are lost. 16. Remember that women are the foundation of a family and that they have the right to produce life. Life is sacred so treat females in a sacred manner 17. Always put your family, tradition and your people before your self 18. Being Native is not a choice, it is a responsiblity. So act in a responsible way in whatever you do. 19. Never forget who you are and what type of lifestyle the Creator has given you, always make sure you truly know the meaning of Native Pride before you say it. Thx she warrior tyvm ....:)
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be - a roommate, a neighbor, a professor, a friend, a lover, or even a complete stranger - but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way. Sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved straight flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience, help to create who you are and who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are sometimes the most important ones. If someone loves you, give love back to them in whatever way you can, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and listen to what they have to say. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make anything you wish of your life. Create your own life and then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets. And if you love someone tell them, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store. Learn a lesson in life each day that you live! Today is the tomorrow you were worried about yesterday. Was it worth it? Everything Happens For a Reason By She warrior (On myspace)tyvm:)

Friends

Friends Body: Friends are the ones that are always there, Whenever anything gives you a scare. They'll be there when the road gets rough, They see you through when times are tough. Expressing myself is easy and I feel free, To say that my friends mean so much to me. They are always there and never complain, They feel your laughter and also your pain. They know when to laugh, when to smile, when to cry, They even know when all you need is a sigh. They make you laugh when you are down, They make a smile out of a frown. Never hold grudges over something that's silly, The best friendships are often hilly. So just remember when you find a true friend, Never let that friendship end.
Take my hand and lead the way; tell me all you want to say. Whisper softly in my ear, all those things I want to hear. Kiss my lips and touch my skin; bring out passions deep within. Pull me close and hold me near; take away my pain and fear. In the darkness of the night, be my beacon, shine your light. In the brightness of the sun, show me that you are the one. Give me wings so I can fly; for I can soar when you're nearby. Enter my heart, break down the wall, it's time for me to watch it fall. I've been a prisoner, can't you see? Break my chains and set me free. Strip me of my armor tight; you'll find I won't put up a fight. Release my soul held deep within . . . I'm ready now, let love begin.

Mothers

Mothers If you send this to just one person, it should make it all the way around the world by Mother's Day. This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in their arms, wiping up barf laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, "It's okay honey, Mommy's here." Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies who can't be comforted. This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in the ir hair and milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse. For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T. This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see. And the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes. This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on their refrigerator doors. And for all the mothers who froze their buns on metal bleachers at football or soccer games instead of watching from the warmth of their cars, so that when their kids asked, "Did you see me, Mom?" they could say, "Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world," and mean it. This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery store and swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten instead, but realize how child abuse happens. This is for all the m others who sat down with their children and explained all about making babies. And for all the (grand) mothers who wanted to, but just couldn't find the words. This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can eat. For all the mothers who read "Goodnight, Moon" twice a night for a year. And then read it again. "Just one more time." This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their shoelaces before they started school. A nd for all the mothers who opted for Velcro instead. This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot. This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when a little voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are at home -- or even away at college. This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with stomach aches assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only to get calls from the school nur se an hour later asking them to please pick them up. Right away. This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find the words to reach them. This is for all the step-mothers who raised another woman's child or children, and gave their time, attention, and love... sometimes totally unappreciated! For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their 14-year-olds dye their hair green. For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and the mothers of those who did the shooting. For the mothers of the survivors, and the mothers who sat in front of their TVs in horror, hugging their child who just came home from school, safely. This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be peaceful, and now pray they come home safely from a war. What makes a good Mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, a ll at the same time? Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the very first time? The jolt that takes you from sleep to dread, from bed to crib at 2 A.M. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby? Th e panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M. when you just want to hear their key in the door and know they are safe again in your home? Or the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a fire, a car accident, a child dying? The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation... And mature mothers learning to let go. For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers. Single mothers and married mothers. Mothers with money, mothers without. This is for you all. For all of us. Hang in there. In the end we can only do the best we can. Tell them every day that we love them. And pray. Please pass along to all the Moms in your life. "Home is what catches you when you fall - and we all fall." Please pass this to a wonderful mother you know. (I just did.)

vampires of your soul

They are out there, not very far... Sly and cunning, find you wherever you are! Seduce you and entice you; have you under their spell these demons of "Love" these creatures from Hell. They'll breathe words of pleasure; sexy whispers in your ear; for it's your soul that they want that you have to give with no fear. Then they'll bed you, (and it matters not where) for once they sink their "teeth" into you say 'goodbye' to your friends. They'll lead you to think that your heart was their key; since they found you, they'll change for you were their only need. Then they'll suck you dry no blood left to bleed, all the time whispering, "You'll do this if you love me..." Then "poof" they are gone leaving a vast hole these thieves of hearts. These VAMPIRES OF YOUR SOUL. (c)P. Houston 2001
