Written by Paul Cain You knew before it started things would end this way you ignored the thoughts half hearted but continued anyway You took the time to listen you even showed you cared it was all a waste of time for someone who's not there Love is an illusion the heart takes in with time emotions quickly deepen from their bottle deep inside You always remained faithful until the very end you always stayed beside her through the begining as her friend Swaying ever slowly as she lied her way in your heart never thinking wrongly she would ever go this far Until this very moment you've always told the truth again these memories fade away in the trouble of my youth No more taking chances on a love that isn't there no more broken promises that only cause dispair My advice to you is just never care their won't ever be a chance it will only leave you standing broken when she leaves without a glance If you keep yourself secluded the pain might go away deep inside you know this might be the only way Life is never fair it seems when these events occur trying to shift the sands of time will only make it worse No use in resisting the wheels of fate that spin unable to fight the coming battle you know you'll never win

Written by Paul Cain Through the times you see the lies a promise kept caused silent tears that wept The hand slides by slower and slower anticipating with hopefullness that its fine cause you told her the fact of the matter is not what you said its all own her own what she thinks in her head Secrecy developes wondering themes when it all comes to close its exactly what you'd seen If by some chance you take a glance at the cards that fate has dealt it would seldom seem to all add up to what you thought you knew and felt To care is hard to trust is harder thats a fact of life Through rich or poor and sometimes more it never seems to turn out right.
