Hello & Happy Valentines to everyone!
I moved from Chicago to Orlando in 1999. The last time I seen my very dear friend was in 2003 when my house burnt down. She is now 61 and her daughters sent her down her to spend some time with me for the month of Jan. When I seen her, I was devastated!! She's weighing in at about 450lbs, her ankles are the size of my upper thighs, her body odor was so overwhelming that I put up "crime scene" tape across my furniture and gave her 2 chairs that she could fit in that I don't care about...I called her daughters to ask them WHY she was in this condition and they just burst into tears telling me the whole truth of what was going on with her. I was so distraught at the situation that I've taken legal guardianship of her. I now have her walking 12 times a day to the stop sign (I'm two houses down), arm chair workout, put her on a diet, and have her down to 3 cigarettes a day. This is a MAJOR UNDERTAKING!! She fights me ALL the time!! I do not have a MOMENT with out having to babysit her!! I have actually had to put a camera in my kitchen to make sure she doesn't steal food again!! I had to bathe her due to her size (this took some serious GUTS) But I love her, she is my friend. I cannot begin to tell you how STRESSED out I am and how stressed my family is. Not to mention, I have put off getting my foster children to help her. I have to scream, yell, cuss and come apart at the seams just to get her to stand up!!! So, my question is "How do you "punish" a 61 year old woman to get her to do the things she needs to do so she DOESN'T DROP DEAD!??? I'm out of ideas!! Please, if you have a heart, don't post rude comments as this issue is very important to me and could save a life. |
