My son just placed 3rd in his district for the varsity wrestling championships this weekend. The top 3 in each weight class now have to go to Altoona, PA next weekend for the regional competition.
Some parents aren't going but I would really like to be there for my son, even though it means taking a day off work.
Wrestling starts Friday and continues Saturday. There will be some very tough competition, and it's double-elimination, so if you lose 2 matches, you're out of the competition. There is a chance that my son would be eliminated Friday.
I can't decide if I should make a hotel reservation for Friday night or if I should just play it by ear--wait to see if he is still going to be wrestling Saturday before getting a room, or driving back home if he is eliminated Friday. Regardless, my son is staying all weekend and riding home with the rest of the team.
What should I do? |
