Wow. I got something in the mail yesterday from my 3rd cousin and figured it was probably a baby shower invitation because I heard she is pregnant (to someone other than her husband). I didn't bother opening it until just now and my jaw is still on the floor...
The invitations are home-made and printed from her computer. On the front is a full-color image of her, standing, with her shirt unbuttoned, exposing her bra and stretch-marked belly, with the baby daddy kneeling, touching her belly and gazing up at her. Underneath, it says "A precious little girl is on the way--let's celebrate before the big day!"
Yes, I understand pregnancy is a beautiful thing but I think this is a little much. This picture seems like it's something that should be kept private between her & "baby daddy", rather that sent out to all her friends & family, don't you think? I'm kind of embarrassed for her and whoever else got one of these invitations.
Am I a prude, or is this invitation a little trashy? |
