shimmering dark veil
shivering from the starkness
cold torturous hell
Light struggling to penetrate
a soul so twisted
invading evil verberates
shadowed eyes misted
Shattering screams
awaken projected fear
frightening dreams
vivid reality appears
Saved by the light
heartbeat thrashing so wildly
fearful endless night
memories overtake the child
Insanity lurks
open wounds forever remain
her abusers work
endlessly shedding tears of pain
Sleep evades her mind
waiting amidst the blackened hole
thrusting from its bind
talons gripping her fragile soul.
