i have put together some articles i have seen over the past couple weeks to create this blog.this is the 1st....A mystery trader risks losing around $1 billion dollars after placing 245,000 put options on the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 index, leading many analysts to speculate that a stock market crash preceded by a new 9/11 style catastrophe could take place within the next month.
The anonymous trader only stands to make money if the market crashes by a third to a half before September 21st, which is when the put options expire. A put option is a financial contract between two parties, the buyer and the writer (seller) of the option, in which the buyer stands to benefit only if the price of the asset falls.
thats a very odd trade to say the least.when i first saw it i made some calls and talked with friends from ny.we talked for some time and thought it could have something to do with the sub prime lending problem and matbe china would start to sell off the dollar before the federal reserve meets on sept 18th to decide on the policy for the overnight interest rate.then i came across this article.2nd....."The sales are being referred to by market traders as "bin Laden trades" because only an event on the scale of 9-11 could make these short-sell options valuable," reports financial blogger Marc Parent. The New Yorker magazine reports that Rubin had a conversation with a member of a top neoconservative institution in Washington, who told him that "instructions" had been passed on from the Office of the Vice-President to roll out a campaign for war with Iran in the week after Labor Day.
"It will be coordinated with the American Enterprise Institute, the Wall Street Journal, the Weekly Standard, Commentary, Fox, and the usual suspects, writes Rubin, "It will be heavy sustained assault on the airwaves, designed to knock public sentiment into a position from which a war can be maintained. Evidently they don’t think they’ll ever get majority support for this—they want something like 35-40 percent support, which in their book is “plenty.”.....what does all this mean.all i know is i try to interpret the propogamda i see on tv news and try to see what it is they want me to think.they said they couldnt connect the dots before 9/11 like preschoolers do.then they said we had lots if information but there was no time,place or date.it was a failure of intel just like iraq was after.they simply can not say we needed to go to war because war is money for the international bankers at the federal reserve who lends us the money to conquer.i truly hope i am wrong and sept.21st comes and goes without a loss of life.but the support for the occupation of iraq is diminishing,and they need a way to convince the public to stay and be in iran.why do i put this in writing?cause my crazy ass is so fearfull of what could happen before the 21st.so i wish everyone and their familys safety through this time.
