Tonight as you lay your head
Upon your warm and cozy bed
There’s just one thing I ask of you
From one so in love with you
As weary eyes begin to close
As in sweet sleep you do repose

Across the night skies silken stream
Into my lonely darkened room
Sprinkle stardust through the gloom
Slide beneath these empty sheets

Just until the new day dawns
Slip away when morning comes
