About 20 years ago, back in 1989, PBS aired a documentary by the name of "Top Gun and Beyond". A particular segment was that of an esperiment that was on-going at Brooks AFB in Texas. Whereas to the aircraft and pilot were systematically interfaced with each other through a skullcap with electordes adhered to it, that would literally allow the pilot to swtich switches simply, by looking at the switches themselves.
Since this documentary aired, such advances in both hardare and software technology have ben made. From Retinal, finger, and optical scanners to facial recognition software that can map out 29 certian points on the human face from jawbone measurements to the spacing of the occular cavities (the distance between both eyes).
Since that documentary, it is now 20 years later and a segment that recently aired on 60 minutes on Sunday 9 August 2009 @ 19:00 hrs EDT. As to where one could literally have an implant in their head which would connect via wires, and would literally let one control the functions of a computer simply by thinking about it. Now the question here is, should there be a line between science and science fiction and if so, where should the line between the 2 be drawn?
A: Yes
B: No
