Such a fucking bummer. First Frank Frazetta goes which is utterly devastating in and of itself - I still had this crazy dream that I'd still get the chance to meet him. I did not. His wife had died last year and he had closed down his museum and website and I kind of knew that he may go soon after her, She was the main inspirado for his female figures and being together for so long I would imagine just a huge support to him altogether. He was quite old and had a very long and fruitful career and did what he wanted to do. "When it came to my art, I kind of went my own way - I didn't follow trends." <3 RIP Mr. Frazetta, your art was more to me than just The Death Dealer and Conan.
Next just a a couple days ago the greatest metal lyricist/performer/vocalist and all around nice fucking duder - Ronnie James Dio passed away. FUCKING STOMACH CANCER. FUCK CANCER! Fortunatly I did meet Dio at a local club in Indianapolis when he played about 8 years or so ago. He rocked it like none other, the venue was shitty but man that didn't make a shitty poo to the mighty magical elf of metal! With the great pipes of fucking Gondor lol After the show I had a chance to meet him and talk to him and he was friendly and awesome and short lol. He genuinely loved his fans and smiled from the heart. All throughout his lyrics in all of his bands dating back from '75s Rainbow - his lyrics were woven with the struggles we all go through, the battle of good and evil. He was a sage and a supreme being of music. Respected by everyone and missed by every true lover of music. Dio - throughout my life your music and lyrics have provided me comfort and refuge, inspiration and straight party down good time back drop. Thank you for existing. Rest In Peace. My horns will always be raised for the Man on the silver mountain and I myself will always be a wheel that no one can ever stop turnin'! m/
