Not Just a Dream

I am sitting here, my head in the clouds,

I dream of you and my heart pounds so loud,

Yes, I will see you again with no doubt.

My priorities used to be all jacked,

But thanks to you, I’m getting back on track,

I hope that one day I can help you back.

The future is not clear, certainly untold,

Until we meet, my bed will remain cold,

We’ll be as one again, I may be bold.

Love, hope, giving me strength and desire,

Thoughts of you fuels my everlasting fire,

I always want you, for that I aspire.

I always will love you like no other,

Please, deny the rest one after another,

My love is so true and it will smother.

I feel that I need to be this selfish,

Everything about you, us, I cherish,

And without you I would surely perish.

Love getting turned around with you in town,

We’ll be making turns, going round and round,

Always I smile even though sometimes you frown.

You begin to tap your nose as you think,

Making some sort of invisible link,

You always have options to choose –wink wink.

Fingers act like antennas, spinning about,

Your directional finders all-out,

You find our way, always, never a doubt.

Your love for purple, passion, is so great,

You are definitely from Washington State,

A great trait, wait, it is still not too late.

Your laughter is music to both my ears,

Yes, you can make me smile for years and years,

Don’t you worry though, these are happy tears.

I have been scribbling now for a while,

Babe, I could write on about you for miles,

I would do anything to see your smile.

Your smile, it brightens the darkest of days,

Smiling so bright my heart goes up ablaze,

Together again, you will be amazed.

Home is where the heart is, such a battle,

I’ll be coming back home to Seattle,

I know you know me, this is no prattle!

And when that day finally comes to greet us,

I’ll never let you go, nevertheless,

Love you; hope our love doesn’t ever regress.
