Life finds a way, should probably quote that but Jeff will understand.

We humans endure more than we think we are capible of, we are survivors. Well kind of more like a virus but just roll with me for a minute. Tragedy hits us everyday, by us I mean all of us, the whole flippin' world. We find ways to stand up and ready ourselves for the next punch, the next round, the next fight. We are fairly special creatures, we have have choice to quit, most of us don't but we can choose to check out. So lets dig into the human condition shall we.

The great big US of A is a self medicating society. We are taught from childhood there is a pill to fix whatever ails us. We can find a pharmacy in almost every grocery store now. There are over the counter meds everywhere. Health care encourages us to buy more drugs and comes up with new ones everyday. The human condition can run amok through our lives and streets. Our health is a business, sick people are customers.

Self medicating takes a spin as we age. New products come to help us survive daily events. Booze, smokes, weed and all those natural funtimes. Self medicating just like buying aspirin at the gas station. Then big guns hit, hard core narcotics your doctor will give you if you cry hard enough. Heavy doses of powerful opiates on the street draw people in for self medicating. Hell folks today go so far as smoking bedbugs, eating poisonous herbs and toxic chemicals and even injecting pain pills crushed up and deluted in kerosine. So what is the human condition?

Human nature is to hide from pain and protect ourselves from sorrow. We need crutches to help us walk through the day to day. We have been taught to surrender, give into the magic potion. Habits lead to addictions, not a secret. But our addictions are very unigue to each and everyone of us. Where some folks find themselves strung out on heroin others freak out if they don't see kids, lover, best friend or pet. Its actually very similiar. Its the human condition, we are social animals. And when we hide we want company. May act like I want to be left alone but really we just want someone to care. And the magic pills and potions loves us, the help us, they are our friend. We trust them, beg for them and adore them for what they give us. 

Guess what gang. There is no cure for the human condition. We can not be fixed. We can only learn to adapt, endure and survive. Fight or flight, just like evolution says. Pick your paths like you would a mate to marry. Good night, good work, sleep well, I'll most likely kill you in the morning.
