Driving Home

I was driving home from work today, and I saw something that made me giggle. The car in front of me was written on. The person took one of those silver markers and wrote "I'm not speeding....I'm qualifying!" on her car. Now I'm not about to write on my car, but that was kind of cool.

Talladega!

As most of you know, my favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was in the lead until the very end, when the IDIOT Jimmie Johnson tried to pass him. IT didn't work, and he took them both out. Now, since IDIOT has not done well in the chase so far, you would have thought he would have been happy placing 2nd. Oh, no...as a race car driver, he had to try and win (can't blame him there), but he didn't pass at the right time, and he made that move out of desperation. So - yeah - Im steamed. 1 25 Brian Vickers 2 9 Kasey Kahne 3 2 Kurt Busch 4 17 Matt Kenseth 5 1 Martin Truex Jr. 6 29 Kevin Harvick 7 66 Jeff Green 8 6 Mark Martin 9 99 Carl Edwards 10 43 Bobby Labonte

Dover - Monster Mile

From the Magic Mile in NH to the Monster Mile in Deleware, the drivers were all business. In the end, Jeff Burton crept up 4 places to be in the lead, while the other Jeff (Gordon) moved up 2 spots for 2nd (just 6 points behind!). Will a Jeff win the series? Will Gordon get another Championship? Will that make his 4th or 5th? Even if you don't like him, you gotta have respect. Kenseth stayed in 3rd place only 18 points out from 1st while Denny Hamlin dropped 2 spots for the same 18 points behind. I think Kenseth takes the lead over Hamlin due to wins. Mark Martin and Dale Jr. keep their places. Jimmie JOhnson and Kasey Kahne switch places, and Kyle Busch trails behind in 10th. 1. +4 Jeff Burton Leader 2. +2 Jeff Gordon -6 3. -- Matt Kenseth -18 4. -2 Denny Hamlin -18 5. -4 Kevin Harvick -54 6. -- Mark Martin -75 7. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. -102 8. +1 Jimmie Johnson -136 9. -1 Kasey Kahne -182 10. -- Kyle Busch -224 There is lots of talk about what Mark Martin will do next year. He says he is going to compete a part-time schedule. He also says he would like to come back in 2008 to compete a full schedule. I have watched Mark Martin ever since I can remember. Whatever he decides to do, I'll enjoy watching him contend to the end. I haven't forgotten! I am a Jr. Fan all the way! With 8 races left in the Chase, it can still be anyone's victory. Go #8!
1 +2 Kevin Harvick 5230 2 +3 Denny Hamlin* 5195 3 -2 Matt Kenseth 5189 4 +5 Jeff Gordon 5180 5 +3 Jeff Burton 5166 6 +1 Mark Martin 5155 7 -1 Dale Earnhardt Jr. 8 +2 Kasey Kahne 5120 9 -7 Jimmie Johnson 5091 10 -6 Kyle Busch 5084
